Fernwaerme - rein ins Haus

Eurpean Union. This has been proven by the study "ECOHEATCOOL" which was managed by Euroheat & Power  and conducted in collaboration with AGFW. Doubling the market share of district heating while simultaniously optimizing existing installations would for instance reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 400 million tons per year - equalling the total carbon dioxide emissions of France!

Following the recommendations outlined by ECOHEATCOOL, the study "ECOHEAT4EU" aims to comprehensively survey and analyze the legislative framework for district heating in a wide range of European countries and to present policy makers with tools to optimize the environment for district heating. 14 countries are directly targeted by the study, namely Germany, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Ireland, Romania, Croatia, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Germany is among the 5 key target countries. AGFW will incorporate the multifaceted domestic expertise when contributing to the study.

Like the ECOHEATCOOL-study, ECOHEAT4EU will be co-financed by the European Comission's "Executive Agency for Competitiveness & Innovation" under the "Intelligent Energy Europe" programme.
